The Record & The Memory

What we know about Raiwana.

The historical record of a village is often spread across administrative records, maps, institutions and the memories of its people. Raiwana's story is best understood by bringing these different sources together while clearly distinguishing documented references from community traditions.

Raiwana in the record

Raiwana appears in modern village and administrative records in the Neemrana area. Today it forms part of the Kotputli-Behror district of Rajasthan.

Raiwana & Talwana

Raiwana Gram Panchayat is associated with Raiwana and neighbouring Talwana, reflecting the shared administrative and community life of these settlements.

Places that preserve memory

The Baba Ramswroop Das Temple and the historic village pond are among the places repeatedly associated with Raiwana's local heritage and community memory.

A note on history

Evidence matters.

The wider Neemrana region has a documented historical past, but regional history should not automatically be presented as the founding history of Raiwana itself. Where a specific date, person or event has not been independently documented, this website will preserve it as community memory rather than state it as established fact.

Community memory

Stories deserve a place too.

Many details of village history survive through families, elders, religious places and generations of oral tradition. Raiwana's digital archive can help preserve these memories while giving future generations an opportunity to document, verify and enrich them.

A Living Timeline

Raiwana through the local record.

Raiwana's history is not captured by a single document or a single date. Its story emerges through administrative records, places of worship, civic institutions and the memories carried by generations of residents.

Village & Region

Raiwana in the Neemrana region

Raiwana has long been part of the settlement landscape around Neemrana. Modern public records place the village in the Neemrana area of Rajasthan, now within Kotputli-Behror district.

Civic Life

Raiwana and Talwana share a Panchayat

Raiwana Gram Panchayat includes Raiwana and Talwana. This shared civic structure is an important part of the area's administrative and community identity.

Heritage

Sacred places became part of village memory

Among Raiwana's most recognisable heritage places are the Baba Ramswroop Das Temple and the historic village pond. These places continue to connect the present village with stories and traditions passed down through the community.

Community Development

Civic institutions shaped everyday life

Schools, the Panchayat Bhawan, places of worship and shared community spaces have helped shape Raiwana's social life. They remain part of the village's continuing story.

Today & Tomorrow

A new chapter is being written

Raiwana is not only a place to remember. Its schools, families, institutions, businesses and younger generations are creating the village's next chapter. A digital presence gives that story a place to grow and be preserved.

History is a work in progress. As families, elders and local institutions contribute photographs, documents and memories, this digital history can become a richer record of Raiwana for future generations.
